Ilse Schreiber-Noll born in Germany studied Physical Therapy andTheatre at the University of Marburg, Germany and Woodcut and The Art of the Book with Antonio Frasconi at Purchase College, SUNY, NY. There she received her MFA in 1989 and taught the Art Of The Book with Frasconi until 2009.

Schreiber-Noll is a deeply committed advocate for Peace. Her work depicts the terrors of war and the threat of ecological disaster, which she expresses in her woodcuts, Artists’ Books, mixed media paintings and installations.

Her work has been widely exhibited and can be found in public and private collections in USA and Europe. She presently lives and works in Westchester, NY and in Berlin, Germany.
